SAN JOSE, Calif. - Brad Davis celebrated his return to the lineup with a sensational free kick goal and Dwayne De Rosario contributed a first-half tally to spark the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-1 victory against the visiting Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Spartan Stadium.

With the win, San Jose claimed sole possession of first place in the MLS Western Conference, two points ahead of FC Dallas, who settled for a 2-2 draw against the MetroStars in their inaugural game at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. The Quakes also moved to the top of the MLS overall table."
